A Great Success: The Flaming Coals Mini Spit Roaster

Flaming Coals Mini Spit Roaster,  well-known in Australia

Since its release over two years ago, more than 2000 of the Flaming Coals Mini Spit Roasters have been sold, quickly making it Australia’s favourite mini spit roaster. The Flaming Coals Mini Spit Roaster may be used to cook anything, including a single tiny roast, up to three roasts, or just a charcoal BBQ, as you can see in the short video below.

Flaming Coals Mini Spit Roaster Review

The mini spit roaster is available with a battery-operated (3 v) motor that can cook up to 8 kg or a 240 v motor that can cook up to 10 kg. How long the batteries will last is a question I often get asked. I haven’t actually timed it, but to give you an idea, at the Melbourne Home Show, we had one going for more than 30 hours, and it was still running. Although it is always a good idea to have an extra set of batteries on hand, I have found the battery-operated motor to be more than sufficient. We provide consumers with the option to upgrade for free to a 240v motor only to give them peace of mind since I believe some customers may have been burned in the past by cheap battery-operated motors bought from big hardware stores that tend to burn out after one or two uses.

Personally, I’ve used the grill to cook a leg of lamb, full chicken, gyros, pork shoulders, and turkey, as well as countless charcoal BBQs. We bring it along when we go camping and to friends’ homes, and some very pleased friends have received a few of these as engagement presents.

While I don’t mind using the mini spit roaster on the ground when cooking, I know some clients prefer to raise it off the ground with a table or piece of bricks, which is also acceptable. It is perfect for travelling camping or over to friends’ homes because it is such a portable unit.

We have our own manufacturing facility in China that manufactures to our standards, as I’ve previously discussed with you in blog postings. For significant Australian Companies, we have previously produced some mini spits with their logos on the lids for them to give away as promotional items or sell through their retail locations. We can add your brand to the lid if you run a business and would like to buy at least 100 of the small spits, just like we did for a Carlton Mid promotion and a Stones campaign.
