If you’re looking for a great but quick meal to cook on a spit roaster. This Recipe for Spit Roasted Lamb Kebab is for you! An essential lamb and vegetable kebab is irresistible. Alternate between lamb and your favourite vegetables to get your meat and veggies on one skewer. Even better, they only take 10 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients (all cut into 2.5cm pieces):
- 2kgs diced lamb
- 1 capsicum
- 1 onion
- 1 zucchini
- 4 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons pepper
- dash of olive oil
- juice from 1 lemon
- and of course, add any other veggies that you like
Method:
- In a mixing bowl, mix all of the ingredients and set aside for a couple of hours to marinate.
- Skewer the ingredients, alternating between meat and vegetables.
- Cook them on a regular grill and remember to turn them so they don’t burn, or put them on a motorised spit roster.
Attaching to the spit:
- Put the kebab skewers into the motorised gear system of a roaster, such as the Cyprus Spit roaster.
- Connect the Cyprus Spit motor and allow the skewer to turn on its own.
